KATHMAND : A solo art exhibition by Bangladeshi, Mehedi Hasan, has started in Kathmandu from Saturday.
The total 30 paintings featuring the artist’s personal memory and ‘tides of ocean’ painted by Hasan in different times are put on display in the exhibition that will run until November 29. The art works also try to depict beauty and facial expressions of women like happiness and anger, said Hasan at the Nepal Art Council in Kathmandu where the paintings are put on show.
The show is organised by Children’s Literature and Research Center, Nepal. Hasan’s art works have already been exhibited in 15 different countries.
Senior artist Gobinda Narayan Jyapu inaugurated the exhibition. Speaking at the event, former member-secretary of the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts K.K. Karmacharya viewed that the drawings made by Hasan would give a symbolic message to encourage creating peaceful environment.
Also on the occasion, four books (‘Goodnight’ by Bijaya Raj Acharya, ‘Sangralo’ by Ram Kumar Pande, and ‘Kishor Katha’ and ‘Smart Teens’ both by Binaya Kasaju) were launched. RSS
