LALITPUR, Jan 12: There is an increment in the number of tourists visiting Patan Museum by 1.5%.
In this current year from the month of July – December, the number of tourists were increased by 177,900 whereas last year during that period the number of tourists were 176,906.Last year from the tourist fees around 33,053,940 rupees was compiled. Similarly, in this current year, within 5 months 58,265,750 rupees was compiled by the museum.
After the one-way system started between museum and municipality there has been increase in the number of tourists in both Museum and Memorial area. According to the Museum’s chief Sureshman Lakhe, “There is increase in the number of tourists and locals, Maintenance works has been carried out in the museum but the tourists can observe the museum even in the time of maintenance as there is a temporary showroom in which all the things are organized.”
