Immigration office in Pokhara International Airport in operation

POKHARA, Nov 29:The immigration office at Pokhara International Airport has been open since Thursday.

Despite the fact that the airport has 29 employees, only 10 have begun to handle the work.

Employees at various levels appointed by the Ministry of Home Affairs have begun work. For the first time on June 6th, a Sichuan Airlines plane arrived at Pokhara Regional International Airport carrying Chinese athletes participating in the China-Nepal Dragon Boat Race competition from Chengdu, China.

The Royal Bhutan Airlines' Druk Air then made its first commercial international flight to Pokhara Airport on August 23rd. Two more Chinese chartered flights have occurred since then. However, there was a problem because there was no immigration office.
