Yeti Airlines add two ATR-72s aircraft to fleet

KATHMANDU, Feb 02:Yeti Airlines, a Nepali private carrier, has added two ATR 72-500 aircraft to its fleet as part of a service expansion.

The company informed us that the additional aircraft landed at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu around 5:20 and 5:30 p.m onThursday.

Yeti Airlines has bought two 72-seat aircraft from Bangladesh. With the addition of the aircraft, Yeti Airlines now operates seven ATR 72-500 planes. The additional planes have Nepali registration numbers 9N-AOF and 9N-AOH. Yeti Airlines has purchased the 72-seater aircraft from Nova Air. Sudarshan Bartaula, the company's spokesperson and head of aviation security, stated that the aircraft was brought to Nepal by an airline captain from Bangladesh.

He stated that the company has adopted a policy of expanding service to destinations where the new ships are currently flying, and that the flight service will be offered one week after the relevant documentation is completed. According to Subhas Sapkota, CEO of Yeti Airlines, the policy of bringing in more aircraft has been implemented to make domestic air service more convenient and accessible.

He stated that with the addition of planes, the airline is dedicated to carrying passengers on schedule. He stated that the plan is to add three more ships, totaling ten by 2024.

According to the ATR website, the ATR 72-500 turboprop aircraft is the latest generation. This aircraft, with a seating capacity of 70-72, is regarded as the best with a turboprop engine.

The ATR 72-500, powered by the PW127 engine, is often regarded as the best aircraft of its size. It has less noise and vibration than other aircraft, and the inside is fantastic, so you'll be comfortable during your flight.

Yeti Airlines just acquired Asian Life Insurance as an investor.  The company aims to issue an IPO to the general public this year.

Yeti Airlines now operates mountain flights to popular Nepalese locations such as Bhairahawa, Pokhara, Janakpur, Biratnagar, Bhadrapur, Janakpur, Simara, and Nepalganj, as well as international charter and non-scheduled aviation services.
