Nepal participates in SATTE

KATHMANDU, Feb 22: Nepal has participated in the South Asia’s Travel & Tourism Exchange (SATTE), which is set to begin in India's capital, New Delhi.

Previously, the Nepal Tourism Board participated in the event; this time, businessmen associated with the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) took part.

TAAN has bid farewell to the businessmen who are going to participate in the trade fair, which is going to start in Delhi on Thursday, at the Tribhuvan International Airport.

Pradeep Pandit, TAAN's first vice president, said that 28 TAAN-affiliated enterprises, including trekking, hotel, and travel organizations, will participate in the three-day tourism event.

Vice President Pandit stated that because India is Nepal's primary tourism market, TAAN participated in the next tourism fair in India.

TAAN also took part in the Outbound Travel Mart (OTM) fair, which was held in Mumbai, India two weeks ago. TAAN has been active in Nepal's mountain tourist sector for 45 years, and it currently employs around 2000 tourism businessmen.
