Global IME Bank honored for highest remittance inflows
KATHMANDU:Global IME Bank Limited has been honored as the bank and financial institution with the highest remittances inflows for the fiscal year 2079/80.
On the occasion of Nepal Rastra Bank's 69th anniversary, Global IME was honored for generating the highest remittance of 21.1% in 2079/80.
Governor Mahaprasad Adhikari handed a letter of appreciation to Ratna Raj Bajracharya, CEO of Global IME Bank, during a special ceremony conducted on Friday at Rastra Bank Central Office in Baluwatar.
The Rastra Bank stated that the certificate of appreciation was given since the remittance influx has helped the country's macroeconomic stability, social economic reform, and external sector balance.
Rastra Bank has been honoring the banks and financial entities that have received the highest remittances on its anniversary.
Global IME has received remittances from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, India, Jordan, Hong Kong, and other nations.
This bank is the first commercial bank in the private sector to have branches in every district in the country.
The bank operates more than 1,100 service centers, which include 354 branch offices, 379 ATMs, 277 branchless banking services, 68 extension and revenue collection counters, and three overseas representative offices.
