The Boudhanath Area Development Committee has completed the renovation of the Boudhanath monastery at the cost of Rs 190 million.
The monastery was damaged by the earthquakes on April 25 and May 12, 2015. Thirteen steps (trayodash bhuwan) above the dome were reconstructed while the dome was renovated. The wall around the prayer wheels were also repaired.
The amount for the renovation was collected from the national and foreign donors and Buddhist devotees, informed Committee Chairman Sampurna Kumar Lama. The renovation had begun a year back. RSS
