POKHARA, Oct 16 : Six paragliders on flight from Kaski’s Sarankot fell in the Phewa Lake on Monday due to the strong breeze that passed through the area.
The gliders had Six pilots and Six passengers but all are safe and no one have sustained the injuries, the Nepal Air Sports Association informed.
“The Para gliders fell into the lake for landing and to prevent the injuries that can be life taking. The conscience of the pilots brought down the gliders to the lake coping up with the speed of the breeze,” Bhupal Gurung, a senior para-pilot and the member of Nepal Air Sports Association said.
After the Para gliders made landing in the lake at arounf 1 PM (Local Time) the boats in the shore of the lakes were deployed immediately to rescue the passengers.
