Incessant rain obstructs foot trails to Shey Phoksundo Lake

KATHMANDU, August 15: Due to incessant rains, the foot trails from Suligad to Phoksundo Lake, located at Shey Phoksundo Rural Municipality of Dolpa have been obstructed. Due to the obstruction, the locals of Chhepka, Rezi, and other areas within the municipality are facing problems.

The embankment in the Lama Tara area located in Ward No. 8 of the municipality was submerged by the river following incessant rain blocking the access routes. 

Lal Bahadur Bhandari, chief conservation officer of Shey Phoksundo National Park Dolpa, said that the damages caused by the overflow of the river will be looked upon and an alternative route will also be set up.
