KATHMANDU, Mar 12: A Bombardier Q400, Dash 8 aircraft belonging to US-Bangla Airways, Flight number UBG 211 has crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport at 2:20 pm during landing today. The aircraft landed near the fire side of Runway 2.
A total of 69 passengers and crew have been feared to be dead during the crash. The crashed aircraft is reportedly under extensive fire and the firefighters have been engaged to extinguish the fire.
Seven passengers were pulled out and rushed to the hospital while the firefighters are trying to rescue other remaining passengers.
The rescue ambulance arrived 40 minutes after the crash. Following the crash, all the flights to and from TIA have been halted.
