126,000 tourists enters Nepal in 11 months of 2021

KATHMANDU, Dec 03: In the 11 months of 2021, more than 126,000 foreign tourists have entered Nepal. According to the data provided by the Nepal Tourism Board, 126,283 tourists have visited Nepal from January to November.
In November, 26,135 foreign tourists entered Nepal by air. The highest number of 10 thousand 421 tourists came from India and 1 thousand 382 from Bangladesh. In that month, 26 thousand 487 foreign tourists have left Nepal.
In the month of October, 23 thousand 284 tourists had come. Although there has been a slight improvement in tourist arrivals, the number of foreign tourists has not increased. Looking at the statistics of foreign tourist arrivals in the last two months, there has been a slight improvement. The number of tourists has increased by an average of 12 percent compared to the previous month.
Compared to October and November 2019, the average tourist arrivals are almost the same. The number of tourists had increased by 13 percent in that year as compared to the previous month. 130 thousand 745 foreign tourists visited Nepal in October 2019 and 147 thousand 859 in November. Thus, looking at the average number of tourist arrivals, it is difficult for the number of foreign tourists to reach two hundred thousand in 2021.
