1,272 climbers successfully scaled mountains in off season

KATHMANDU, Nov 11: 1,272 people have ascended the mountains between the months of August- October which is considered as the off season to climb mountains. According to the information provided by the Department of Tourism, they have climbed 53 mountains measuring less than 7,000 m. These mountains have been ascended by 131 teams.

With the team of 26 people they have successfully climbed Amadablam Mountain measuring the height of 6,814 m. Likewise, 192 people have climbed Manaslu Mountain and it has become the second most climbed mountain and  Saribung Mountain is the third most climbed mountain which has been scaled by 21 team in which 174 people successfully ascended the mountain.

Likewise, Himlung Mountain has been successfully scaled by 83, Baruntisi by 27, Dhaulagiri by 18, Mukot by 52 and Thapa peak by 44 climbers. Besides this, 53 other mountains have been successfully climbed by 1,271 climbers. The climbers have paid 50, 547,813 rupees as royalty for climbing the mountains.
