17th Fewa Festival is being held in Pokhara from April 13

KATHMANDU, April 07: The 17th Fewa New Year Festival is to be organized in Pokhara on the occasion of New Year. Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) has organized a press conference in Kathmandu on Thursday to inform.

According to Laxman Subedi, president of Hotel Association Nepal, Pokhara, the 17th Fewa New Year Festival will be organized under the slogan 'Tourism, Culture and Food' with the objective of preserving Nepali culture and promoting food.

He said that the festival is being organized from April 13 to April 14 to revive the tourism sector which has been weakened from Covid-19. According to him, the festival will be held on the main road from Fistel Gate at Lakeside to Hallanchowk.

After the postponed of the last two editions of the festival due to covid, the festival is being organized on a 3 km open road with new features.

Binayak Shah, acting president of HAN, said that the festival would have a positive impact on the international community and inspire foreigners to visit Nepal. He also said that it would help in disseminating information that Nepal is a safe destination to visit.
