The festival is organized by Restaurant and Bar Association (Reban) Pokhara with the slogan 'Eat in the street, enjoy in the street'. This is the 23rd edition of the festival.

The festival will last for 3 days. The festival was organized with the aim of making Pokhara a destination for the English New Year, said Naresh Bhattarai, coordinator and first vice-president of Reban.

He said that the five-day festival has been reduced to three days due to the terror of the new variant of Covid-19 Omicron and the festival is being organized following the adoption of health standards.

Stating that the festival is a mixture of food and culture, he also mentioned that food dishes from all over the world are cooked at Lakeside.

"Food is cooked here on stoves all over the world. We have given priority to the branding of Nepali dishes," said Bhattarai.

According to him, all the big hotels in the Lakeside area have been booked during the festival.
