39th World Tourism day: 40% of the tourist revisits Nepal

KATHMANDU, Sep 27: Due to the alluring environmental, cultural, religious norms and values of Nepal, about 40% of the tourist who have already visited Nepal arrives here for revisit.

In the program organized in the occasion of 39th World Tourism day with the motive of “ Tourism and The Digital Transformation”, Rabindra Adhikari, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil aviation said that its matter of pride for us that around 40% of the tourists revisits Nepal. Along with the development of tourism sector the numbers of tourists are also increasing in our country.

As compared to the tourism of other countries, tourism of Nepal is much more interesting and exciting. Within two years we are planning to uplift the conditions of infrastructures and also we are working hard to make our Visit Nepal 2020 campaign successful. Past few years the numbers of tourists visiting Nepal from roadways are also increased so we are focusing in the construction of roads as well, he said.

Likewise he also informed that domestic tourist’s plays great role in the development of tourism we all should work together in making tourism of our country successful. In the occasion of World Tourism Day, tourism board honored Jet Airways, CAAN, NAC and other various personalities on making a good impact on the development of tourism. Uddhav Raj Rimal, designer of the Visit Nepal 2020 logo was also awarded with 1 hundred thousand rupees.

World Tourism day is celebrated throughout the countries since 1080 and the hotel tourism businessman of various countries announces various packages on this occasion. Hotel Associations of Nepal (HAN) has also announced 20% discount in this occasion. The tourists arriving from TIA were also welcomed by CEO of Tourism Board Deepak Raj Joshi. Similarly, Tourism Day was celebrated in Pokhara, Chitwan and other places by welcoming the tourists.
