45 groups of mountaineers preparing for mountain climbing this spring

KATHMANDU, Apr 09: A total of 45 groups have received permission for mountain climbing in Nepal this spring. According to the Tourism Department, 23 of the 45 groups will be attempting to scale Mt. Everest.
Director General of the Tourism Department, Dinesh Bhattarai, said that 226 mountaineers from 23 groups have obtained permission to scale the tallest peak in the world.
The department has assigned 38 communication officials till now for the mountaineering expeditions. The government has the protocol of assigning communication officials to mountaineering expeditions of over 6500 meters.
Director General Bhattarai said that mountaineers have already started moving for their destinations. Many more are yet expected to come in this season.
