6th Food Fiesta in Bhedatar

DHANKUTA, Jan 01: The tourism destination of Bhedetar, Dhankuta has gained sponsorship from various businesses to successfully organize its 6th Food Festival with the aim of promoting tourism in the local community. The festival started in Sunday under the organization of Hotel Association, Bhedatar.

By aiming for the New Year 2018 AD, this festival will last for three days. It has also got sponsorship from Saguri Village Municipality and Nepal Tourism Board and the total expense for the programme was found to be 800 thousand rupees.

The organizer of the fiesta, Mr. Lila Raj Lawati, informed that the goal of the food festival is to welcome 3 thousand tourists and accomplish a business trade worth 10 million rupees. In the fiesta, the local cuisines, showcase of organic vegetables and fruits, and local handicrafts will be a matter of attraction including more than 32 different stalls showcasing agricultural and homemade vocational goods and objects.

“The visitors will get 25 % discount on paragliding, mountain biking, tour package as well as hotels, meals and drinking water facilities,” said the Chief of Hotel Association, Bhedetar, Mr. Jitendra Rumdali.
