A cycle rally that links two ancient cities of Nepal (Photo Feature)

KATHMANDU : “Ride Kasthamandap to Khokana” is the cycle rally that started three years ago which links the two historical cities of Nepal through cycling.

The tourist destination Khokana and Bungmati of Lalitpur and Kasthamandap were ravaged by the earthquake of 2015 is still to return back to normalcy. The series of cycling event organized every year tends to promote the tourism destination despite its pathetic situation and drag the attention of the concerned authorities for the timely reconstruction.

Inaugurating the third series of Cycling event Nepal Tourism Board’s Executive Officer Deepak Raj Joshi appealed all the people to take part in the reconstruction of the ancient city of Khokana adding it is one of the exemplary villages of Nepal.

The cycling event which connects the ancient cities tour through the three heritage sites Kasthamandap, Bungmati and Khokana which goes through Balkhu, Chovar, Bungmati to Khokana.
