Aarambha Resort starting operation at Butwal

KATHMANDU, July 05: A new resort is starting operation at Butwal amidst the ongoing trend of new hotels and resorts starting up all over Rupandehi district. The resort, called Aarambha Resort, was constructed on a budget of Rs. 250 million.

The resort was constructed on the investment of 140 individuals under Aarambha Group of Hospitality. The resort will be the first ever in Rupandehi. It will have the largest swimming pool in the district, conference hall, and 50 bedrooms within a year, of which 9 will be king-sized bedrooms. Construction is also ongoing with the aim of constructing 100 bedrooms within two years, said operator Gopal Pandey.

The company plans to build two different buildings for the lodge. The resort is also conducting classes for Bachelor in Hotel Management. Pandey says the the aim is to develop the resort as a model schooling hotel as well gain five-star rating.

47 people are currently employed at the resort. It was inaugurated by the State Minister of Industry and Tourism, Lila Giri on Thursday. The minister said during the inauguration that Rupandehi has a strong potential for tourism grown and that it needs more investment in standard hotels and resorts. Adding that with the construction of the Gautam Buddha International Airport, the area will see 15 to 25 thousand daily tourists, he suggested that hotel entrepreneurs must start preparations for the future.
