Advance Mountaineering Training of NMA started

KATHMANDU, Jan 23: 41 people have departed to Langtang for Advance Mountaineer Training organized by the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) with the program coordinator Tulsi Gurung. The 26th Advance Mountaineering Training started from 20 January 2018, and will last till 10 February.

The NMA has conducted various courses of mountain training which includes Mountaineer Training, Mountain Leader Course and High Mountain Rescue training (HMRT) in the past. Chairman of the NMA, Shantabir Lama, said that various types of mountain training courses have been conducted considering the need of skilled manpower related to the mountain tourism and its long-term development.

In the Advance Mountaineering Training, 10 instructors will provide training to past trainees who have taken the basic training until 2016. According to the General Secretary of NMA Kul Bahadur Gurung, the documentation of the trainings provided by the organization till date and the data of trainers and students will be uploaded in its website and it will be publicized with the help of different medias.
