The general assembly has been adjourned with the decision of one party to boycott the meeting convened at Gairidhara Silver Oak Banquet.
The union has issued a notice postponing the general assembly until further notice.
The current president of the association Ang Tshiring Sherpa, former president Jimma Jangbu Sherpa and working committee member Tulsi Gurung had urged all concerned to postpone the unconstitutional 31st general assembly of the association.
The working committee, which ended its term two years ago, had accused the majority of its members, climbers, tourism workers and tourism businessmen of being busy in mountaineering and trekking outside the Kathmandu Valley.
