Agreement between Prabhu Bank and NRNA

KATHMANDU, Aug 03: An agreement has been signed between Prabhu Bank and Non-Resident Nepali Association for opening accounts in foreign currency and other banking services. The agreement was signed by Ashok Sherchan, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank and Vinod Kunwar, President of Non-Resident Nepali Association.
The bank said that savings and term accounts can be opened in foreign currency with the slogan 'Let's open an account in Nepal for the honor of the motherland'. According to the bank, the account can be opened with a minimum balance of USD 1000 or equivalent in US Dollar, Euro, Pound Sterling, Australian Dollar and Japanese Yen.
According to the bank, money can be deposited in the account only through the banking system from abroad, subject to the policy of Nepal Rastra Bank. The bank said that cash cannot be deposited in the account.
