Airline companies reduces their airfare lower than the specified rates

KATHMANDU, March 22: The airfares have started to decrease with the increase in the number of people returning home to avoid the effects of the Corona virus. The airline companies are reducing their airfares lower than the rate specified by the government.
There was opposition from all around few days ago as the airlines companies charged high airfare. Buddha Air has announced the airfare 40% less than the one specified by the government implementing it from Sunday. Similarly, Shree Airlines has reduced the airfares from Saturday.
According to the lower rates, the airfare to Dhangadi is 7,900 rupees, Bhairahawa is 4,700 rupees, Nepalgunj is 6,100 rupees, Bhadrapur is 6,200 rupees, Pokhara is 5,300 rupees and Rajbiraj is 4,200 rupees.
The government had specified the airfare of Kathmandu- Bhadrapur flight at 9,000 rupees but Shree airlines have decided to fly at 7,400 rupees. Similarly, the flights to Biratnagar was specified at 7,500 but Shree Airline has decided to charge only 6,100 rupees. Also, The flights to Janakpur was specified as 4,200 rupees but Shree Airlines has decided to charge 3,300 rupees.
