Ambassador Dhakal calls on Omani Tourism Minister

KATHMANDU, Feb 01 : Ambassador of Nepal to the Sultanate of Oman, Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal, paid a courtesy call on Minister of Tourism of Oman, Ahmed bin Nasser Bin Hamed Al Mahrizi, at latter’s office Thursday.
During the call, Ambassador Dhakal lauded the dynamic leadership of Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al-Said. She expressed happiness over the excellent state of bilateral relations between Nepal and Oman. Minister Mahrizi recalled the Oman visit of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on September 2017.
Both had substantive discussion on promoting mutual cooperation for development of tourism industries in both countries. In this regard, both agreed to take steps to initiate MoUs on tourism cooperation as soon as possible and facilitate tourism links through developing people-to-people contact, cultural exchanges, tourism research institutions etc, said a press release issued by the Embassy of Nepal in Muscat.
The Tourism Minister assured of continued Omani support and cooperation to the socio-economic development efforts of Nepal and wished Ambassador Dhakal for her successful tenure in the Sultanate and assured for full cooperation from Oman in discharging her duties.
