KATHMANDU, Nov 07: Airlines Operator Association of Nepal (AOAN) says that passengers will still have to deal with the problem of flight delays unless the development of infrastructure or any other alternatives is provided at the airport.

The association issued a statement saying that as the flight gets delayed, the workers of the airport are misbehaved by the passengers. Such kind of activities are increasing at the airport and  it was not their fault that the flight did not take off in the scheduled time. The only reason for this is because of the only one route due to which the aircrafts have to hold their flights in the sky or hold on to the ground.

Similarly, flights to Nepalgunj, Bhairahawa, Simara and Biratnagar, have to be operated in VFR (within sunrise to sunset time) that's why flights to Janakpur Pokhara, Bharatpur, Chandragadhi and Dhangadhi airports have to be canceled sometimes due to various difficulties. Similarly, travelers have had to deal with flight delays and flight cancellations due to lack of visibility in the Terai during winter.
