Tourism Minister Prem Bahadur Ale urges to remove Nepal’s name from blacklist of European Union

KATHMANDU, Nov 23: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale has urged to remove Nepali Airlines from the black list. During a courtesy call of Paola Pampaloni, Deputy Managing Director of the European Union's European and External Affairs Service for Asia and the Pacific, at the ministry on Tuesday, Minister Ale urged for the removal of the Nepali Airlines from the European Union's blacklist.
Following Minister Ale's request, Director Pamplona said that the European Union was positive about removing Nepali Airlines from the blacklist. She said, "Positive steps will be taken to remove the airline from the black list." During the discussion, various issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed. She has been in Kathmandu since last Saturday, leading a three-member delegation to attend the 13th meeting of the Nepal-Union Joint Commission.
Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal Raj Kumar Chhetri, Director of the Department of Aviation Security Raju Shrestha, Joint Secretary of the Ministry Tekraj Pandey and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were present on the occasion.
