KATHMANDU, June 16: Ashok Leyland, promoted by IME Motors Pvt. Ltd., operated under IME Group, has handed over a well-equipped fire brigade to Shivraj Municipality, kapilvastu.

The fire brigade has been handed over to the municipality through the joint efforts of National Fire Safe and IME Motors. The fire engine was handed over to Netra Raj Adhikari, Chief of Shivraj Municipality by Sushil Rana Thapa, Corporate Sales Head, IME Motors Pvt. Ltd. Speaking at the handover function, Chief of Municipality said that he was very happy to procure a well-equipped fire brigade for the first time in his municipality, adding that he believed that the fire brigade would be useful in protecting the livelihood of the people in case of fire. ’

The 1212 Ecmet model chassis of Ashok Leyland has a capacity of 4,000 liters of water and can fill 500 liters of foam, due to which the loss of property can be prevented quickly and easily in the place of fire. This type of state-of-the-art fire extinguisher (fire engine) is useful in fire control work and its efficiency is very good as it is geographically environmentally friendly in Nepal.

The fire engine is one of the most popular fire engines in Nepal due to its low working capacity, sophisticated equipment and low maintenance costs.
