At least 2 thousand Nepali expeditors barred from "Expedition Certificate"

KATHMANDU, August 17 : At least two thousand Nepali expeditors of Mt. Sagarmatha are yet to receive certificate to prove their successful attempt to Everest.

The data from the Tourism Department has unleashed the fact that at least Two thousand Nepali expeditors are barred from certificate though they have made successful attempt to the roof of the world.

They are barred from receiving the certificate though they lodged application for it provided with necessary evidences, The Nepal Mountaineering Association has said.

"A foreign national can get certificate with no delay but the act of barring the Nepali expeditors from the certificate after successful expedition is discriminative," Newly elected President of NMA Santa Bir Lama said. He also acknowledged that he has taken the initiative to deliver the certificate to Nepali climbers on time too.
