Balewa Airport to start aviation from March 23

KATHMANDU, Mar 08: Balewa Airport of Baglung which has been closed for 20 years now will start operating from March 23.
According to the Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal Mr Rajen Pokharel, “An agreement has been done in the meeting held between Nepal Civil Aviation Authority, Baglung Municipality, Nepal Airline Corporation and Yeti Airlines so that Balewa Airport will start its operation.”
Pokharel stated that there will be two flights per week from Kathmandu to Baglung from March 23. Tara Airlines will fly every Sunday and Nepal Airlines will fly every Wednesday whereas Baglung Municipality will take the responsibility for the safety of 12 passenger per flight.
