Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train reaches Janakpurdham

KATHMANDU, June 23: An Indian train carrying religious tourists has reached Janakpurdham, the capital of Madhesh Pradesh. The train named 'Bharat Gaurav Tourist' arrived at Janakpurdham railway station on Thursday afternoon.

The train left the Indian capital New Delhi on Tuesday evening and reached Nandigram, Banaras, Prayagraj, Chitrakuta, Nashik, Hampi, Rameshwaram, Ayodhya, Sitamarhi and Jayanagar under the Ramayana Circuit.

After the arrival of the train, Indian tourists have been welcomed by Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut, Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment Shatrudyan Mahato and Mahantha Ramat Peshwar Das of Janaki Mandir. There is a huge crowd at the railway station to see the train and tourists from India.

There are 600 religious tourists on the train. Arrangements have been made for all of them to stay in Janakpurdham on Thursday.

They will be made to visit Janaki Temple, Dhanushadham and also participate in the evening Ganga Aarti.

Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut, who came to welcome the religious tourists, said that today was an important day.

He said that the trip would help in connecting the Ramayana circuit and the tourism sector of the state would also be developed.
