Bharosa Kosh of IME distributes support amount to relatives of the migrant workers in Province No. 1

KATHMANDU, Jan 25: Money has been transferred to the beneficiaries of Province No. 1 under the IME established Bharosa Kosh with the objective of helping the relatives of the workers who died abroad due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Chandra Prasad Dhakal, Chairman of IME Group and Senior Vice President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) handed over a check for the assistance during a special function held at IME's Regional Liaison Office, Birtamod, Jhapa recently. The check handover program was attended by the beneficiaries, central and provincial office bearers and members of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the employees of the group working in Province No. Addressing the check handover program, Chairman Dhakal said that the main objective of the fund was to help the dependent families of the migrant workers who lost their lives due to the corona virus (Covid-19).
The kosh has been providing assistance to the applicants at the rate of Rs 50,000 each. Chairman Dhakal handed over the assistance to a total of four people from Birtamod area of Province No. 1.
The IME has set up a Bharosa kosh with the objective of providing financial assistance to the families of the deceased, realizing that many Nepalese who went abroad for labor have died due to the corona virus (Covid-19) and added great pain to the dependent family. The kosh has been continuing to transfer aid to various states and plans to transfer aid to Janakpur, the capital of state number two, soon.
Interested relatives in Nepal of Nepali workers who died abroad due to Covid-19 from January 1 to October 16, 2020 to receive assistance from the Kosh. Arrangements were made to apply in the offices as well as in the provincial offices in all the states till November 30, 2020.
