Bharosa Kosh of IME distributes support amount to relatives of the migrant workers in Province No. 2

KATHMANDU, Feb 03: Money has been transferred to the beneficiaries of Province No. 2 under the IME established Bharosa Kosh with the objective of helping the relatives of the workers who died abroad due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
IME Group on Tuesday Province no. 2, During a program organized in Janakpur, the capital of the province. Honorable Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut handed over checks to 15 beneficiaries of the kosh. Chairman of IME Group and Senior Vice President of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Chandra Prasad Dhakal and senior employees of the group were present on the occasion.
Addressing the check handover program, Chief Minister Raut expressed his gratitude on behalf of the state government for the trust fund provided by IME. Stating that the IME has fulfilled its obligation by distributing a small amount of assistance to those who died due to corona while working abroad for foreign employment, he said that there are many people going for foreign employment from Province 2.
Addressing the program, Mr. Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of IME Group and Senior Vice President of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry said that IME has been providing assistance to the affected families through a trust fund.
Cheif Executive Officer of IME Suman Pokharel spoke on the concept of Bharosa kosh.
The kosh has been providing assistance to the applicants at the rate of Rs 50,000 each. A total of 15 people from the Janakpur area under province no.2 Honorable Chief Minister of province no. 2 , Lal Babu Raut and Chairman of IME Group and Senior Vice President of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Chandra Prasad Dhakal jointly handed over the checks.
The IME has set up a Bharosa kosh with the objective of providing financial assistance to the families of the deceased, realizing that many Nepalis who went abroad for labor have died due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) and added great pain to the dependent family. The kosh has been continuing the work of transferring aid money to various states and plans to transfer aid money soon to Janakpur, the capital of Province no.2.
Interested relatives in Nepal of Nepali workers who died abroad due to COVID-19 from January 1st to October 16th, 2020 to receive assistance from the kosh . Arrangements were made to apply in the offices as well as in the provincial offices in all the states till December 30, 2077 BS.
