“Big” swimming pool in Nepal’s City of Lakes comes into operation

POKHARA, August 21: The Mount Kailash Resort has opened its swimming pool which is claimed to be the biggest amongst all targeting the tourists visiting the city and the locals.

“The swimming pool which now is open for people is 65 feet long and has 29 foot breadth,” Owner of the resort Naresh Bhattarai said.

“The depth of swimming pool ranges from 3 foot to 5 and half feet and is open for all age groups,” Bhattarai added.

The resort is in plan to introduce packages for the locals and other swimming enthusiasts.

“An estimated 35 of the guests in a day get into the swimming pool. On Saturday and on the day of holidays other guests who don’t reside in the hotels also come here for swimming,” Bhattarai informed.

The initial capital for the construction of this swimming pool is 9.5 million rupees and the resort has made the swimming pool free of cost for the “In House Guests” whereas the external ones need to pay Nrs.750 per head.
