KATHMANDU, Aug 31: The airplane manufacturing company Boeing has predicted a steep rise in the demand for pilots and aviation manpower in the next two decades in the Asian region. Considering the economic growth taking place in Asia currently, Boeing claimed that by 2037, Asia would require 240,000 pilots and 317,000 cabin crew.
China would reportedly take up half of this demand. This prediction has put greater pressure in the aviation industry which is already facing issues with the lack of skilled manpower. According to Boeing, China alone would be requiring 128,500 new pilots while the rest of southeast Asia would be needing 48,500 pilots, and South Asia would be needing 42,750 pilots.
Boeing stated that 40% of the aircraft productions in the world are being used by Asia.
