Buddha Air plans to postpone its flight to Kolkata for 6 weeks

KATHMANDU, March 13: Buddha Air has postponed the flights to be inaugurated on 15 April 2019. The airline postpones its inaugural flights to Kolkata for about 6 weeks. The airline had planned to conduct the flight to Kolkata starting from Mid-April.
However, due to Election of India starting from 11 April to 19 May, it would make direct impact on the flight occupancy during the start of the operation thus has rescheduled the flight initiation. the airlines has decided to postpone the inaugural flights. The airline will conduct flights on the pre-scheduled routine which is 3 weekly Kolkata flight on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The airline will be operating flights initially from their current aircraft ATR-72.
The airline has already announced airfare rate for Kathmandu-Kolkata sector. According to the carrier, the two-way fare has been set up Rs 24,000.
