Buddha Air plans to start Nepalgunj-Delhi flight

KATHMANDU, May 28: Domestic Private carrier Buddha Air,  has plan to start international flight from Nepalgunj to  New-Delhi .

“We are formally applying for the route permission at the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (Caan) on Monday, May 28” said Birendra Bahadur Basnet, managing director of Buddha Air, during a press conference Sunday.

The company has requested CAAN to allow it to start three daily flights on the Nepalgunj-Delhi route. Buddha Air will be using its ATR-72 aircraft in the sector.

Buddha air plans to connect the Indian capital in a bid to cash in on the pilgrim traffic to Kailash Manasarovar in China.

The airlines has five 72 seater ATR 72-500, three 47 seater ATR 42-320, and two 18 seater Beachcraft-1900D series aircraft.
