Buddha Air takes delivery of new ATR aircraft

KATHMANDU, July 04: Buddha Air has taken delivery of its new ATR 72-500 aircraft at Tribhuvan International Airport from France.

The airport came from Toulouse Francazal Airport through Italy, Egypt, and Oman. With the new addition, the total number of aircraft with Buddha Air equals 11. Buddha Air now has 6 ATR 72-500, 3 ATR 42-320, and 2 Beechcraft 1900D. ATRs are known for their low fuel consumption, emissions, and noise.

The airline will be starting flights with the new aircraft from the beginning of August.
