Buddha Air to operate night flights from May 15

KATHMANDU, May 12: Buddha Air is going to expand its night flight service to various destinations from  May 15.

For the time being, the department will provide services in Janakpur, Nepalgunj, Biratnagar, Bhairahawa, Bhadrapur and Simara. Such flights will start at 8 pm.

Buddha Air has said that night flights will be very attractive for passengers who are busy with daily activities. The company believes that it will be easier, simpler and cheaper than in the morning and afternoon.

The company said it had requested the state and local governments to facilitate public transport to night flight destinations.

Buddha Air believes that the movement of passengers will create employment at the local level and also play a role in revenue growth.

Information Officer Dipendra Kumar Karna said that the company is also coordinating with Tuttle in Kathmandu to offer attractive discounts on taxis for night flights.

Buddha has already connected Pokhara Airport with direct flights from all the states. Now it is preparing to connect Bhairahawa Airport as a second hub from all the states. Flights from Bhairahawa to Pokhara and Bharatpur have been brought into operation.

The company says that it plans to fly from Bhairahawa to Biratnagar, Bhadrapur, Janakpur, Simara, Nepalgunj and Dhangadhi in the near future.

Along with the flight, holiday packages are also being operated for tourists through Buddha Air's sister company Buddha Holidays.
