Buddhist Bihar in Beni inaugurated

MYAGDI, April 23: A Buddhist Bihar has been built in Beni Municipality – 7 at a cost of more than five million rupees.
The All Nepal Monks Federation Chairman, Maitreya Mahaastavir, inaugurated the Buddhist Bihar built by Myagdi Buddhist Association on Saturday.
Residents of Sangamchowk Punya Bahadur and Laxmi Shakya had contributed with one ropani of land property over which the Buddhist facility has been built.
Myagdi Buddhist Association Secretary, Yam Shakya, said the Bihar was built after raising Rs 5.3 million in funds at the community level. The Bihar is two storey high with five rooms, a worship chamber, sermon recitation hall and monk residence.
