CAAN prioritize Airport Construction projects falling under National Pride Ones

KATHMANDU, Nov 28 : The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has prioritized the airport construction projects falling under the Nepali national pride projects.
In an press meet organized in Nepali capital to inform about the budget, policies and program, Director General of the Aviation authority Sanjib Gautam disclosed the list of the airport which are being given utmost priority.
“We will be expediting the Gautam Buddha Airport, International Airport in Pokhara and Second International Airport in Bara, Simara which are enlisted in National pride project and the budget also has been allocated,” Gautam said.
Likewise, the airports in Dhangadhi, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Bhairahawa and Nepalgunj are enlisted for upgrading and the construction of helipad in the Tribhuwan International Airport is also set in the project.
The aviation authority has expected to earn about 43.66 Billion rupees in the current fiscal year with 43.59 Billion rupees expenditure.
