Cable car construction in Bandipur

KATHMANDU, July 22: RKB Real Estate and Construction Ltd. is constructing a cable car system the tourism city of Bandipur. The cable car system is being constructed with joint investment from RKB Real Estate and local entrepreneur Tara Nath Upadhyay. Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Prithvi Subba Gurung, has inaugurated the project on Friday.
CM Gurung said that the cable car facility will help in promotion of Bandipur for tourism and also help in developing the income source of the locals. The cable car system is being installed at an investment of Rs. 560 million and will start construction within a few weeks, said President of RKD Real Estate, Ram Chandra Sharma.
The cable car project is aimed for completion in 15 months. RKD Real Estate has 70% investment in the project, while Tara Nath Upadhyay has 30% investment. Locals have been given access to shares worth Rs. 112 million.
President of the Bandipur Tourism Development Committee, Baisa Gurung said that establishment of the cable car service will help in the promotion of tourism in the region.
