Cafe Coffee Day opens first outlet in Nepal

KATHMANDU, July 12 : India's famous coffee cafe chain, Cafe Coffee Day has opened its first outlet at Jawalakhel  in Lalitpur.

Indian ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri  and  Miss Nepal World 2017 Nikita Chandak jointly inaugurated  on Tuesday.

The outlet opened Tuesday is Café Coffee Day’s first footprint  in Nepal, according to the company. "With its range of flavourful hot and cold beverages and those ultra popular, sweet and savory delights in the menu, Café Coffee Day is all set to brew some never seen before café magic in the country," it said.

Situated at the up-market neighborhood of Lagankhel Sadak, Jawalakhel Chowk, the 1200 square feet café is sure to be the preferred hangout for shoppers and office goers in the vicinity.

The outlet with its signature vibrant Café Coffee Day look and feel will have 47 covers as a sit-down indoor café. Café Coffee Day’s presence in Nepal strengthens the group’s international presence which is already present in Austria, Czech Republic, Egypt and Malaysia.


"We are very happy to be brewing our coffees in Nepal," Speaking at the launching programme, the Chairman and Managing Director of Coffee Day Enterprises VG Siddhartha said. "Nepal is the fifth international foray for us, and one that we believe holds exciting possibilities," he said, adding that with 1700 cafés spanning six countries, the company serves more than 1.8 billion cups of coffee annually across our coffee retail network.
