Canyoning festival to be held in Nuwakot

KATHMANDU, June 2: Nepal Canyoning Association is to organize the Third Canyoning Festival in the Bhulbhule falls in Nuwakot district.

The festival is being held with the goal of attracting the canyoning enthusiasts from within the country and abroad and to give out the message that Nepal has great potentials for this adventure tourism activity.

The festival is taking place on June 9 and 10 at Kakani Rural Municipality -5, 30 kilometres away from the capital.

It is to be organized in association with Nepal Tourism Board, Trekking Agents Association Nepal and tourism organizations.

The organizers of the event have estimated that some 300 domestic and foreign canyoning enthusiasts will participate in the festival.  The first canyoning festival was held in 2013 in the Bhotekoshi River, and the second one was held in Thanapati, Nuwakot last year.
