Capital of Rhododendrons, Tinjure visited by tourists from 38 countries

KATHMANDU, Mar 28: The Tinjure-Milke-Jaljale area, famous for its variety of the Rhododendron flowers, has been visited by tourists from 38 different countries at the same time. The capital of Rhododendrons lies in the meeting point of Tehrathum, Sankhuwasabha, and Taplejung districts.
More than 500 tourists from 38 different countries including India, Australia, America, and various cities of Nepal visited the area to attend the “Shakti Peak Festival” which was organized to showcase the cultures and music of more than 50 countries.
Festival attendees stayed in tents in the fields of Mangalbare and Gufabazaar in Tinjure. Madi Municipality-9 has arranged food accommodations for the tourists, and also musical entertainment for them, informed Ward Chief Pasang Sherpa.
The Shakti Peak Festival was organized to attract tourists with the opportunity to enjoy music among the sceneries of the high mountain regions, the different varieties of Rhododendron found in the region.
