Changu Narayan Municipality to charge entry fees to Nagarkot visitors

KATHMANDU, Aug 06: Tourists visiting the tourism destination Nagarkot near Bhaktapur will now have to pay twice the fees. Mandan Deupur and Changu Narayan Municipality have both defined separate entry fees which means that tourists visiting Nagarkot will have to pay entry fees twice on their way to the destination.

Changu Narayan Municipality had given a contract of Rs. 5.1 million to charge entry fee from tourists in the last economic year. The municipality made an agreement with New Dakshinkali Suppliers at Rs. 33.9 million rupees to charge entry fees to people visiting Nagarkot and Changu Narayan Temple. The contractor has started charging entry fees from Telkot and Kalammasi, and can also charge entry fees from visitors to Changu Narayan Temple.
