Chefs Association of Nepal to establish offices in seven states

KATHMANDU, Oct 09: The Chefs Association of Nepal is going to establish offices in all over the 7 states. Chefs Association is an organization working to promote the national foods at an international level. In the 24th Annual General Assembly, they have announced to establish an office in all the 7 states to promote local foods.

According to the President of Chefs Association of Nepal Shree Ram Adhikari  ‘Nepal is a multicultural country and promoting food of all these cultures is important and this association tries to link the local to the globe .’

To support the government's plan of welcoming 2 million tourists till 2020 association is trying to promote 26 different food to the world. This association has been working for the promotion of local food among visitors and tourists.

They have participated in the ‘World Heritage Cuisine Summit ‘ taking place in Amritsar, India on 12th October for international promotion of Nepalese cuisine in the international platform. This association is planning to organize local food festival in Bhaktapur at around April or May next year. Vice President Resham Lama says that this association trains the chef to prepare  both national and international cuisines
