Civil Bank's cashless campaign in Begnas Lake

POKHARA, April 01: Continuing its cashless campaign, Civil Bank has distributed QR codes to 220 boat entrepreneur in Begnas Lake, Kaski.

Chief guests on the occasion were Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank Guruprasad Poudel, Director of Nepal Rastra Bank Pokhara Branch Dr. Ram Sharan Kharel, Chairman of Begnas Lake Boat Business Committee Dhaknath Kandel, Chairman of Fewatal Boat Business Committee Buddhi Bahadur Nepali, Chief Executive Officer of Civil Bank Sunil Pokhrel, Assistant Chief Executive Officer of PhonePa Divas Sapkotal and others were present.

Speaking at the inauguration of the program, Nepal Rastra Bank Pokhara Branch Director Dr. Ram Sharan Kharel said that a cashless campaign was essential to save money and foreign currency while printing notes.

Similarly, Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank Guruprasad Poudel said that the QR code should be made universal to make the cashless campaign effective.

The bank has been encouraging its customers to use various cashless payment services through electronic systems using QR codes. Similarly, Sunil Pokharel, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, said that similar services will be introduced in the coming days to make QR Code more powerful in various businesses.

The bank is providing banking services through 115 branches, 11 extension counters and 97 ATMs.
