Climbing route opened from Everest Base camp to Camp 4

SOLUKHUMBU, May 07: The climbing route has opened from the Everest Base Camp to Camp 4. Climbers have made the way till Camp 4, with most climbers having reached Camp 3 on their journey.
The way from the Base Camp to Camp 2 was constructed by the Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee while different trekking companies constructed the route from Camp 2 to Camp 4. Information Official of the Tourism Department, Ram Prasad Sapkota, informed that most climbers have dropped to the Base Camp due to weather reports which predict strong winds from May 5 to 8.
Climbers tend to climb up to Camp 4 and return to Base Camp before making their way up to the peak again, in order to acclimatize to the conditions at the top. Discussions are ongoing about which mountaineering guides will make the may from Camp 4 to the peak.
Climbing will continue after ropes are set up between Camp 4 and the Everest peak.
