Communications Minister Karki inaugurated 'Mero Beema'

KATHMANDU, Aug 01: Nepal's insurance aggregator 'Mero Beema' has been inaugurated. Information and Communication Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki inaugurated the insurance during Mero Beema Presents Futuristic Banking and Insurance Summit 2022 program held in Kathmandu on Friday.

Chairman of Insurance Committee Surya Prasad Silwal and deputy governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Dr. Neelam Dhungana Timsina gave a speech. Similarly, the program was chaired by Dr. It was done by Bishnu Prasad Gautam. Dr. Gautam is a former director of Nepal Rastra Bank, former executive officer of Self-Employment Fund and president of Vidyavaridhi Association.

In the program, former insurance worker and founder of Mero Beema, Kosh Raj Subedi, informed about the digital concept of Mero Bima and the future facilities.

In the program, 5 topics were discussed in the panel about digitalization of insurance and banking.

Dr. Amitabh Rajan, Chairman RBI India Service Committee, Balkrishna Sivakoti, Director of Mega Bank and Member of Investment Board Nepal, Madan Kumar Acharya, Director of Mega Bank and Member of Tourism Board were present.

Similarly, the chief executive officers and heads of information systems of various banks and insurance companies were present. More than 200 people were present in the program including experts as various panellists from India.
