Construction of Airport Enthralls tourism entrepreneur in Western Nepal

RUPANDEHI, Sep 24 : The construction of the Gautam Buddha Regional International Airport has added on the spirit of the tourism entrepreneurs in the Western District of Nepal with adding-on of hotels.
A total of 1.67 Billion rupees has been invested in the hospitality sector in the district with the opening of about One Thousand small and big hotels in last two years period. As it lies near the birth place of Lord Buddha the flow of tourists in the area keeps on increasing along with the hotels.
The Hotel and restaurant Trade Union has informed about the operation of two thousand hotels and over 5 hundred restaurants in the area.
“With the ongoing task of construction of airport and the six lane road the number of hotels has hiked. The construction of Cable Car as per the master plan and the International Convention Center in Butuwal also has added on the hotels and restaurants in the area,” Union’s President Samundra Gc said.
The fare for the tourist hotels ranges from 2 thousand to 8 thousand rupees which has the investment of over 10 million rupees. The hotels with 5 to 100 Million rupees categorize as Group B hotels has rooms which price is 2 thousand rupees.
